Student of the Month - January
Student of the Month - January

Emily Dozier is a senior at Mid-Carolina High and a student at the Career Center in Mary Geddings’ Biomedical Innovation class, part of Project Lead the Way and our newest program. She has been a member of the National Beta Club for 4 years and with the exception of one final grade of B, she has had all A’s in high school. She was a Junior Marshall and named “Junior Scholar” at 3 different SC colleges. She is in the top 6% of her class at Mid-Carolina High where she takes honors, Advanced Placement and dual credit classes and on top of her excellent grades, Emily finds time to work at the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission and to serve as a Junior Volunteer at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital during the summers. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, exercising, music, knitting and time with family and friends. She has also been named the February Exchange Club Student of the Month.

Emily is the daughter of Alison and Darrell Dozier and has a younger sister, Sidney, whom she describes as her absolute best friend. Emily plans to major in Human Resource Management and to earn a master’s in Business Administration, and although she has received many college acceptance letters, she has not made a final decision. She says she tries to “live her life Christ filled and fun packed.”
